I've been a busy girl lately - lots going on and I don't seem to be managing my time well...
Anyway, here is a sneak peek of the next beaded box I'm doing. It should be up on Etsy by Sunday:
It will be called "Land of the Leprechauns". The photo is of Kilkenny, Ireland, and is sealed with diamond glaze. The beads are all hand glued.
On an extremely happy note: I'm going to Disneyland tomorrow! I am a passholder, and have been suffering withdrawals because I haven't been since mid-November! With any luck at all, the Dream Team will approach me and tell me I've been selected to stay in the new Dream Suite! According to reports, you can take 5 friends with you... I want to win that so bad it's not even funny! If gas were cheaper, I'd go several times a week to try to win!
Well, back to Ghost Hunters Int'l. Very interesting episode...

CCCOE's Academy Awards Sale
I'm very excited about this - CCCOE is having a group sale with an Academy Awards theme next month! There will be a giveaway - I'll post more details closer to the event - the prize is a swag bag not unlike what the stars receive! My contribution is the black and white bracelet. It's made with black crystal beads, white cat's eye beads with rhinestones, and silver filigree beads.
My sale piece - or pieces, rather - will be based on Elizabeth: The Golden Age. I have part one of the ensemble done. It has glass pearls, a chandelier pendant, and Swarovski components with red rhinestones. I will also be making a shorter pearl necklace, and earrings to match. Let me know what you think!

What a Weekend!
Colin's birthday party went off without a hitch, except for our friends coming up from Orange County getting a flat tire... It was a beautiful day at Griffith Park, and the kids loved the trains at Travel Town! I ended up scrapping the pull apart train cupcakes. I tried glazing them, but they looked awful. My hubby tried to frost them - it took so long... I ended up buying cupcakes and making train picks.
Is anyone familiar with the Glendale Galleria? Colin wanted to go to Red Robin Saturday night for dinner, and that location was closest to Griffith Park. Driving around to find Red Robin was a dangerous task - drivers were nuts! I was very nervous that someone would run into us! Is that normal there?
Sunday we had a quiet day, and yesterday I spent all day trying to clean out and organize the space allotted to me in our living room for my arts and crafts. Still not done, but have another bag of stuff to share with my Meetup group on Sunday!

CALLING ALL CAKE DECORATORS!

I'm addicted...
to making up treasuries on Etsy! I snagged another one today with a Valentine theme!
Sorry I haven't been to active in blog land lately. My son's 4th birthday is Saturday, and I'm making the cake as well as lunch. He also starts his winter term of preschool this week. Thank goodness his cold is over.
I'm working on both the January and February CCCOE challenge pieces. January's theme is science, so I'm going with astronomy with a beaded trinket box with stars. February's theme is Lucky Charms, so I will be entering my Luck of the Irish beaded trinket box. If I could find the camera right now, I'd give you a sneak peek!
And, last but not least, I'm working on our taxes. I really need to get cracking on that, but I always seem to find something else to do...
Oh, and I also have a few pieces to finish up for the Vintage Heart Swap.
Whew! I'm tired! All that and housework too - must go finish laundry!
