Help! I got this far on my son's birthday cupcakes, how should I proceed? Should I do a glaze to keep the details in the cakes, then enhance the details with colored writing icing? I really need to take a class! Thanks for any tips or suggestions!

I don't think there will be a finished product. I gave it my best shot, failed miserably. I'll be purchasing store bought cupcakes at this point, as it's too late for a sheet cake. sigh.
